Okay then, I'll start this off. My name is Jeff Skagen, and I'm a carry over 
from the original K5 PBEM, where my character was Shoko. However, between 
being a synthetic and her circumstances at the end of the last PBEM, it 
seems unlikely she would still be alive now, and even less likely she would 
be in Hong Kong. Plus, even if I did contrive to place her there, I'm not 
sure I'd know what to do with her in that setting. So, I've left Shoko's 
fate as "presumed deceased" and made a new character: Vivian Lau.

Vivian is one of the 20 or so esper children rescued in the "Gunfight at HQ 
Corral" storyline in the first PBEM, and later taken in by Raven (Mathieu 
Roy's character) and Doc Lydia. Vivian is a pure psychokinetic, and the most 
powerful of the esper children, but unfortunately her control of her power 
isn't all that it could be. They have all spent the last five years on a 
homestead in the Australian Outback, where Raven and Lydia have been raising 
them and training them in the use of their esper powers, until they were old 
enough to head back out into the world at large on their own.  Now age 16, 
Vivian is the last of the children left, and is eager to strike out on her 
own as well. Raven, however, thinks she needs more training to master her 
powers, and so they have compromised by agreeing to move to Hong Kong 
together.

So, I guess that's about it for my new character. I'm eager to hear from 
everyone else, though, both to learn who is coming back and to find out who 
our new players (and their characters) will be.
