All right, let's see...
My name is Bryan Feir, and I live out in Toronto. I was involved in
the original K5PBEM back when it started, though I dropped out partway
through due to a combination of the rest of my life taking over; being
unsure of what to actually do with my character; and a hard drive crash
that wiped out my character sheet, the stories and ideas I had been
working on, and my copy of the Kazei 5 sourcebook.
I was also part of the first naming conflict in the group, having
created a character named 'Falcon' at the same time as Mathieu Roy named
his character the same. (He renamed his to Raven.)
Falcon was an unpowered, and almost entirely uncybered character,
with the main cyber gear she had being a cyberlink that could hook her
into her helmet, and from there to her bike. The motorbike she drove
was a prototype originally marketed to the FDNY, with some possible
military upgrades, and she and it are the only known survivors of the
corp she worked for. There are some corps that you _really_ don't want
to win a contract bid against, as they tend to be sore losers.
Yes, I took the name Falcon as a bit of a riff on the old Streethawk
TV show.
Anyhow, if my life stays at bay for a bit, I'd be interested in
trying to get back into this. Would want a new character, though; while
Falcon is probably still out there, she'd have little reason to go to
Hong Kong except to meet up with a couple of the other old characters,
such as Raven. I may write an updated version of her, but she wouldn't
be a main character.
Hmm, perhaps a Zorro type... man on the inside, working for a major
corporation, but living a double life as a vigilante outside of that.
Would have to be someone sufficiently high in social status to be
'beyond reproach'... either that, or someone invisible, such as the
person who does the computer system maintenance. Hmm, ideas percolating
in the back of my head even now.
