In all serious, I think Volume I & II are excellent guides to the monsters 
of SE Asia. I used a lot of references, and tried to present them in an 
understanding (i.e. gameable) manner. Even if you don't play HERO the 
special effects and text descriptions should be enough to let you use them 
in any game system and/or fanfic.
