That's what I was thinking, yes. And even then, because its cybernetic, its
reatively "temporary." You can allways go back to a Humanish body at some
point doewn the road - soft shell or the like. Or even having "multiple"
bodies that a brain can be trasfered from - eg, a millitary option for a
3-meter tall robnoteank body, buyt then having a softshell for Downtime and
the like.

That's reminiscent of an idea used in the "Centauri Knights" BESM campaign.
You could have your brain and spine transplanted into a full-body cyborg that
looks just like an idealized version of yourself. No extra mods (other than
the basic ones offered by the full-body), and you look completely normal. In
the campaign, it's how colonists wihtout the extra cash make the trip to the
colony system. Much cheaper to transport a brain in stasis than a whole body.

You could even add the capability of making the brain-box transferrable, so
you could move to a construction model during your work-shift, then move back
to your "R&R" body afterwards.

Heck, I was toying with that as a character concept way back during the
first Kazei 5 campaign (the F2F one, not the PBeM). ;-)
