[K5pbem] Global Warming in the K5 universe

Ugh, this whole thing is bad news up here, but I never thought that it ahd
to do with the planting of specific types of trees. It does make sense,
considering how quickly this bug has gotten around. Usually, northern BC
has such a cold weather, with weeks in January reaching -40 degrees
CELCIUS that the damned things are killed, but the coldest it got was -35
degrees, which just isn't enough.

But of course, there's no such thing AS Global Warming, eh Washington DC? ;p
Because hey, if the most powerful government on Earth does not believe all
the mounting scientific evidence, then it must NOT be true.

(What, me? Bitter? Perish the thought.)

They've cut down vast amounts of trees and burned them all over BC to try
and stem the tide. Basically, if any tree has any Spruce Bugs in it, it
gets chopped down and burned.

In the trailer court here, a ton of trees were cut down to prevent anymore
spread fo the bug, but this can only go so far.
